In linguistics and cognitive science, listeners rely on subtle stylistic cues—such as three-part rhetorical structures or em dash cadences—to infer intentionality.
However, as statistical text detectors and human listeners alike apply probabilistic pattern matching to emotional discourse, authentic human grief is increasingly misclassified as synthetic artifacts. This produces a socio-technical feedback loop: sincere emotional expression is subjected to continuous verification stress ("Select every square containing genuine grief"), rendering natural human vulnerability indistinguishable from machine output.
