ANALYSIS

Socio-Cognitive Commentary

According to Sweller's Cognitive Load Theory and Baddeley's model of working memory, the human central executive has strictly limited processing bandwidth. When individuals simultaneously consume visual media, high-bitrate audiobooks, and gamified micro-interactions (Continuous Partial Attention), input channels saturate the phonological loop and visuospatial sketchpad.

This produces sensory hyper-stimulation paired with total cognitive deficit: dopamine pathways are continuously activated by rapid stimulus switching, but working memory cannot consolidate information into long-term potentiation. The consumer feels fully engaged, yet enters a state of semantic emptinessβ€”The Attention Void.
